Once a month, on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Thursday during the school year, AAUW members have lunch with a girl from grades 2-5 at Helman Elementary School in the Soroptimist Strong Girls Strong Women Program.   Lunch Buddy mentors come from Soroptimist, AAUW, and women in the community, who have an interest in supporting the development of young girls. The girls exhibit increased confidence and delight in the developing relationship with someone who gives THEM undivided attention for this brief time each month.
